About Me

Taking the first step toward therapy can feel daunting, but I believe it is one of the most empowering investments you can make in yourself. Whether you are navigating a specific mental health challenge or feeling held back by your current routine, I am here to help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

With a background in diverse NHS primary care settings, I am a BABCP-accredited psychotherapist. I provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) that is deeply rooted in collaboration and compassion. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach; instead, I tailor our sessions to your unique perspective, ensuring you feel heard and supported throughout our work together.

My Approach

How I Work

I believe that therapy is most effective when it is anchored in what truly matters to you. Beyond just managing symptoms of anxiety or low mood, my goal is to help you reconnect with your core values.

In our sessions, we won't just look at "fixing" what feels broken; we will explore the person you want to be and the life you want to lead. By identifying your unique values, the things that give your life meaning (whether that’s connection, creativity, or challenge), we can ensure that the changes you make in therapy lead to a more authentic and fulfilling way of living.

While my core practice is clinical, I bring a unique focus on lifestyle and performance. Having completed an MSc in Applied Sport Psychology, I am passionate about the connection between our physical habits and our mental resilience. Whether you are navigating the demands of a high-stakes career, academic pressure, or competitive sports, we can incorporate performance-based strategies into your sessions.

We might explore:

  • Performance Anxiety: Managing the "inner critic" during high-pressure moments.

  • Resilience Building: Developing the mental toughness to bounce back from setbacks.

  • Goal Setting & Motivation: Moving from feeling stuck to taking purposeful action.

From overcoming anxiety, navigating a difficult life transition, or improving your performance in life and work, we will look at the whole picture to help you feel most aligned in your daily actions and develop a toolbox you can take into your future.

Outside the Clinic

When I’m not working directly with clients, I spend time tutoring and mentoring the next generation of therapists. This commitment to teaching keeps me at the forefront of the latest psychological research and ensures that the care I provide is always of the highest standard. Playing a role in the early stages of someone's career is incredibly fulfilling for me, and allows me to pass on learning and give back in the way many others have done so for me over the years.

Beyond my clinical and tutoring work, I am particularly interested in Sport Psychology research. I strongly believe that movement is a powerful tool for mental wellbeing and that finding a community where you feel you belong can be life-changing. My specific research is around increasing participation and engagement in women’s sport, with the aim to help policymakers understand the social and psychological motivators for women at recreational level.

When I’m not in session or researching, you’ll likely find me staying active through exercise (practicing what I preach!), making time to travel, reading, cooking new recipes, and finding my own balance through the very lifestyle pillars I advocate for in my work.
